Cashmere is a quaint small town, the nearest to the meeting place. Any of the first 3 motels are close enough to access the couple of restaurants and stores located there. The train does run through town a couple times a day, but doesn’t generally seem to interrupt sleeping time. Cashmere is centrally located between Leavenworth and Wenatchee, making it easy to visit either town for meals or amenities.
Leavenworth is a small Bavarian theme tourist town set against the base of the Cascades, very scenic with a good selection of restaurants. For more information on places to stay go to Leavenworth lodging.
Wenatchee is a moderate size town located on the Columbia River about 10 miles east of Cashmere along Hwy 2. There are numerous hotels and motels along Wenatchee Ave. It has a wider selection of restaurants and stores, as well as an internet café. Wenatchee Ave.
